There are two ways to say the same thing. so why dont you say it in a nicer way. if you ******* dont know how to do it, then its bloody well your problem. i'm not expecting diplomacy from you, but the least i expect is some human respect. arghh! the problem with these people is thier motto is 'Say it. Forget it.', its people like me who sit & brood over it.

Pardon me for such an emotional outburst but i had to get it out with.

Korea is a strange place. (To reiterate,) it's a wierd boring place. (Reflecting the same, the blog too is going to sound a bit wierd & boring.)
Koreans are great lover of food & drink. They took the compliment a bit too seriously, I guess, for they eat anyything & everthing that's living. Dog meat is their favourite! Fungi & Moss are served as cream on top of delicacies. There are these usual things that forms their staple diet, like the reptiles, cokroaches, & octopusses. But the outside world have got used to them I guess. (Used to hearing, that is.) Vegetables are only for the rich. A single tomato costs 2$ ! (But who would want vegetables when there are so many other things to substitute it). If you are a vegetarian then you really are in for it (...give me a break! even a non-veggie cant take this). Cooking at home is out of the question since cereals are not easy to get.

Religion is part of the everyday life for these people. There are four gods that they worship. LG, Samsung, Hyundai & I forgot the forth. They give you everything from your cars, the tv, the washing machines your telephone connection, to your soaps, pastes & clothing. Naturally, one of the every four person you meet works for the Samsung/LG/...Can you imagine one forth of a nation working in the same company (mind bogglingly boring)? ...cant imagine i guess. These gods play a very important role in the socio-economic & political life of the nation. So you must be working in one of the four companies to get things done faster (... everything fits so nicely, dont they?)
Despite all this, Korea is a rich country. Its got so much money that one of every ten people is a millionare! ...Only later will you find out that 1200 wons is worth a dollar. Since there is so much money around they decided not have anything equivalent to our paise. O Boy! but it's still a good feeling when you carry a fat wallet & spend money like water :).
Telcomm & internet penetration is so much there that it leaves nothin to compare with. Every building has a router & every home is given a dedicated broadband connection of 56Mbps. At first I thought I heard 56kbps and shrugged it to be another mkting gimmicks to sell few kbps in a 56kbps box. but that wasnt to be the truth. They really get 56Mbps with a nominal 9600 Wons a month. That is pretty impressive considering that we get 20kbps line in the name of 'broadband' for a similar amount.
Interesting. If at the outset, one can gather so much about the nation, it surely must be a strange place.
